Situated very close to the station was perfect and also quiet as it was set back from the main road. I liked the unpretentious atmosphere and decor, historical pictures of the Stockton -Darlington railway on the walls, friendly staff, the front garden in the sun for an evening drink. An evening meal with French decor in the restaurant on one evening.

Staff couldn’t do enough to help. Amazing restaurant for evening meal. Chef was exceptionally well informed regarding allergies and was able to offer me adaptions to most of the menu, including making a desert for me that wasn’t in that evenings menu. We knew before setting off that they didn’t provide breakfast but there are plenty of really nice places to eat in nearby Yarm.

The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. The bed is very comfortable. The room is spacious and has a big comfy sofa, a definite bonus. We hope to stay again.

The hospitality from staff was outstanding absolutely made our night! So friendly and couldn't do enough 4 us as our wedding night they definitely made it one 2 remember
